Cake
Quote of the Week: Whenever i looked back of what i did, i realize how stupid i am was
I hate Monday, simply because it's presence would just spoil all my weekend fun.... Monday classes are just simply dry, too dry until i find attending classes a really waste of time.
Alright, some might argue with me about what i just wrote. Rather than discussing the matter above, let's just share something here.
Few days back, i was surfing around the net during lecture class, i found a recipe to bake cake from rice cooker.... =) surprised? SO was I... i heard that microwave can cook rice la, but rice cooker can bake cake??? hmmmm...
After class, i went back and asked mom to buy the ingredients. So here i go to kitchen again....
To be honest, i'm really jealous of friends who stays abroad, and get to cook at times. Not that i can't, just that it's the environment that in order to cook, only you can fill up your tummy (cause cheap ma)
- Separate egg white & yolk.
- Then add in 5-8 tablespoon of sugar into egg yolk, stir.
- pour 125ml of milk into egg yolk.
- add flour until you think it's think enough (if watery, add flour, if too thick, add milk), mix.
- Now handle the egg white, add 2-3 tablespoon of sugar & a bit of salt/lemon/vinegar (either 1), stir.
- 2 options, beat the egg white either using machine (advisable) or manually - by hand until you get the cream (turn upside down won't fall one lolz)
i was so donkey that i wanted to experience how torturing it is to do it manually, after spending half an hour, that's what i get...
Important: if you wish to spam my comment column by telling me how stupid i was, or to yell at me saying that i'm nothing compared to your friends (who can cook whatever crap you can name), DON'T or else i'll throw eggs at your house =)
- Next, mix both ingredients together.
- Before heating up the rice cooker, apply a layer of butter/oil on the pan, and press "cook".
- When the rice cooker turns into heating state, pour in the ingredient, and press cook.
- When it turns into heating state, leave it for 10-15 minutes and press cook again.
- Use a toothpick to see whether it can be eaten or not, if not, cook again =)
I was using a small rice cooker as i don't know how good it will be.
You might ask again: Why not use oven instead? Faster right?
Then i might answer you: Why not buy from grocery shop instead? much FASTER right? lolz
Oh well, i realize it's so much easier than making pizza... and the best part was my parents & my coursemates ate all of them =)
Note: I did not bake a cake to someone, repeating it for several times ady...
