Mount Climbing@ Gunung Nuang

3 weeks ago, we bumped into Pn Chan & Ms Low unexpected in the forest. We were invited to follow them for another climb at Gunung Nuang, which is Selangor's tallest Mountain.

Date: 22/12/07

We met them around 6.30am, and took 30 minutes before reaching the foot of the journey. This time, there were only 8 of us - Ms Low, Pn Chan, Ms Ng (another teacher from MGS), Pn Chan's sons&nephew, Alex & I.

Our journey started around 7am. Firstly it was 1 hour of "Warm-up" before even reaching the entrance of the place.

Our faces were smiling in the beginning...

Little did we know the torture we gonna suffer later...

In the beginning, we still have the mood for pictures & cam-whore...

As well as look around & enjoy the scenery & fresh air...

Well, just to let you know that it's a mount climbing trip, not a lawatan sambil tangkap gambar trip ok...

As we reach the first river, our faces started turning pale, and the smile is wearing off... lolz
bet you can see the difference...

The MGS group

2nd river/waterfall

Face already gone worse....
It's only 9am when we reached there, and our shirts are soaking wet, not to mention our shoes are as heavy as walking in mud, due to the water when we cross the rivers...

Our socks has already turned from white to brownish-RED, while i even had blood sign on my shirt... lolz

Leeches were everywhere, hence it's just blood donating

1 thing i must agree, the scenery is really worth it...

Well, you can realize the blurrness of the photos, as our hands began to shake... =P

Ok, in short, we undergo 6 hours of mud, swarm, rock climbing, land slide, and cool mist, conquering 3 mountains before reaching Gunung Nuang.... the border between Selangor & Pahang...

I'll be a fool if i don't take a picture there.......

After 15 minutes of lunch@break, Ms low rush us down already... That time, alex & I gave up of couping up with them, and decided to take our own sweet time, as alex had problem with his knee, while i injured my leg fell down...

Then, another 6 hours crawling down.... I wish that moment that an helicopter would pass by and save me man~

To Be Honest:

I Salute Ms Low, Salute to the MAX!!!!!

I can't coup up with her speed, and she's just iron-lady. 12 hours non-stop. While Alex & I ended up the last ones coming out, with our legs numb till we couldn't bother much about leeches anymore....

Satisfaction: 6/10
Physical&Mental TORTURE: 10/10

We came out by 7pm, and decided call it a day for the old man... hahaha we really needed a lot of practice, but Ms Low said if you manage to conquer Gunung Nuang, Mount Kinabalu would be a piece of cake to you.

Now who says Mount climbing was easy huh???
