1 Meal trip to Pulau Ketam

Was supposed to be titled "One Day trip to Pulau Ketam", but Ernest insisted that it's a 1Meal trip...

When: 19/12/07
Where: Pulau Ketam
Who: Veng Hoong, Collins, Ernest, Yuen Cheong & I

We gathered at Tasik Selatan by 11am, only to left around 11.40. We choose the most romantiv way of travelling - By KTM, as none of us knew the directions and didn't want to take the risk. Just imagine KL people lost in Selangor, a bit the Pai Seh right.... hahaha

After an hour plus of traveling, we reach Port Klang. The moment the door opened, the salty smell immediately arose my nose. It was the smell of salted fish, or rather the seaside smell. Well, it was so bad that i began to regret going... lolz

The jetty is just next to the Ktm station, while the jetty also provides transports to other destinations. We took a long time just to figure out which ferry should we take.

Inside the speedboat

With 4 bananas who don't speak mandarin well, i'm the only one asking for directions and stuff.

40 minutes of seasick, we reach Pulau Ketam, where crabs dominate the island... as if~

Basically there's not much to hang around at Pulau Ketam. Unless you are really religious, you can visit the local temple there. There's just lots of local products, food all around the street. By the moment we reached, it's already way past lunch hour, hence we just settled down at a restaurant.

Collins & Veng Hoong

Honestly, my purpose going Pulau ketam is to eat crap and "Oh jian", but it's just too disappointing ler.... the price of crab is even more expensive than Cheras, and Oh jian doesn't taste good either... ZZZ

Never ever order from the 1st stall (pic above), really tipu $$$, hahaha

Our dishes

Lalalalalaalala~

Steam fish, godknows what fish is that

the baby kailan which is the only thing nice, and fried sotong, with KFC chilli sauce, sweat***

1kg of crab

the bananas, lolz, i'm evil~

Guess who we bump into???

hint1: local celebrity

hint 2: famous for his cooking

hint 3: Malay dude

Chef Wan.....

So happen the tv9 crew were here for their series, and the moment we were eating, the fella took our face... with wyc pouring tea for us, and others eating crab with hands.... lol

Needless to say, it's great going out with friends... hehehe

UP NEXT: mount climbing trip, & christmas wishlist...
