What happened last week
Did you know that Eu Yan Sang has it's very own restaurant at it's HQ?
It' located at Shaw Parade, which is used to be "the Store". As far as i know, among the HQs, only this HQ has a kitchen. Last week dad took us for a family dinner with Uncle Yong Kwang's family. All this while i only knew Eu Yan Sang for selling chinese herbs & medicine, perhaps it's another expansion of business.
I was told that there's a point of doing so. Imagine when you need to serve "big" customers at the HQ for some billion dollars of business, why would you want to spend the excessive money and treat your customer outside? You save the meal as well as promote your products. I was also told (from the manager there) is that the Si Tau Poh will always order medicine steamboat whenever she drops by weekly. See, 1 stone hit 3 birds.
Since we had a total number of 9 people, we opted for set meals, easy and less thinking. Then we came across this:
Set A (4 pax) - RM98++
Set B (6 pax) - RM168 ++
Set C (10 pax) - RM298++
So if you got a total number of 9 person, which set will you choose?
Set C?
No, We wanted to choose Set A + Set B, since it still makes up to 10 pax, much cheaper and more variaties... muahaha, but the kedekut manager didn't allow = =" babi
Ok, let me vomit the menu when it's still fresh in my mind. Set meals are the typical 6 (or was it 7?) dishes type of menu which is commonly found in any other listed restaurants. The best part is before the meal, each of you can choose your desired soup of the day, and it varies from 15 kinds of chinese medical soup. From dong kuai + chicken, mutton soup, beef tail or even fish. Erm, i sort of forgotten the chinese medicine in each soup...
Next are the main courses, where each dishes are used from various of chinese herbs and spices from Eu Yan Sang (not fancied at all though). I would rather say it's more suitable for older or higher class of citizens, but the food is really good. I dont mind going for the second time, as long as i'm not the one who pays the bill =P
------------
The next day itself i meet up with Alvin, Lay Teng, Siew Yoke, Soo Hwa, Shawn & Pei Sze. Though it was quite a last minute plan, but really enjoyed =)
That's the only nice picture i received so far = =" as i left early to attend kuma's wedding. Still waiting for more photos from Ah Sou.
Oh ya, back to the wedding,
Few months back, Kuma called me to inform me about his good news - he's getting married (actually we already knew since last yeear when he got engaged), it's just that we didn't expect it to be soooo soon. Btw, Kuma is a senior of mine, which i doubt any mbs-ians remembered him. He's excatly 4 years older than me, which i knew him when i first entered Senior Prefectorial board when i was in Form 3 (and he's Upper 6 that time).
It was the first time i've ever attended an indian wedding, not to mention first time to receive an wedding invitation! Actually i was expecting to receive one from Yuen Cheong but too bad he disappoint me lolz...
Oh ya, i also bumped into Vigneswaran (the F6 exco asst treasurer, also kuma's junior), gurmit (sorry if spelling wrong, another gal prefect same batch with Kuma - so happen she's a colleague of lay teng, also working in SJMC), and Pn Victoria & her husband...
World is so small...
