Language barrier

Many of us face such problem, arguably when it involves a different language. Many of my friends found uni life hard to adapt, mainly in Uni, as most chinese speaks Mandarin (NOTE: i came from MBS so you can keep your assumptions to yourself). After years of spending my youth in a multi racial society, it would be a necessary to master at least Malay, and Tamil as well.

How would you feel if you were in a conversation, and all of a sudden your friends start to speak Hokkien? Ok fine, some of us may understand Hokkien, perhaps French? And you'll be all alone there squeezing your brains just to understand what's going on? (now i understand how friends like Saha or Sendhil feel)

Recently, i had the similar problem. Dad had a friend who's a lecturer in Germany. Guess what, he gave me an german editioned newspaper. I think he never realize that I've only took 1 sem of german class... lolz Anyway, dad said Education in Germany will no longer be free in the coming years. Guess that's pretty bad news to people like me... :(

Oh yes, allow me to show you what's been keeping me occupied this christmas...
